here is the second video of "Live in Bellwoods" I want to say that this will be a long running series, or that we will even have a 3rd video. Most often when I plan these things they fizz out immediately after I call it a series. The Empire met with Chris White(Vocals/Guitar) of Bellewoods in Trinity-Bellwoods park last night, and the meeting was great. We luckily had our newly appointed French Interpreter Stuart St. Amant in attendance, in-case any french people came around. Chris was nice enough to play a song for our camera in the park. The lighting was surprisingly OK and his voice was well... I have no words for how good Chris' voice resonated through the trees. Here is a still of the shoot.
For now I need to get a hold of Chris in the digital world to send him the clip before we can release it to the masses. until then, look at the still and listen to their myspace page.
The Empire recently joined forces with Family Contact to capture a local promotions wrestling event, the DVD is nearly finished and we will be providing a very entertaining commentary track for the matches. Sadly we will not be documenting this weekends show, but hopefully we will be able to join forces again to capture the next wrestling extravaganza.
The second iteration of EA's SKATE is being released on the 20th of this month, on the 8th, the demo will be released onto Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The empire will be waiting online, for that demo to drop.... and once dropped will commence virtual shredding.
One of the new features of skate 2 is the addition of user created graphics, EA released a flash based online graphics creater on their site. You could easily guess whats coming next... Humble Empire graphics for skate 2!!
Im not sure how they are implimenting them, wheter or not you use the site links to get other peoples created content... or if you can even use other persons content, but if you plan to have skate 2, and want to rock virtual h.e. shit, then here are the links to 2 Ive done thus far. I took a moment from sewing and drawing and dye'ing (yes with ties!) to let you three people know that we are having a t shirt party near the end of this month, we have a date but it isnt for sure for sure... so i cant devuldge yet.
On Wednesday Sept. 10th the empire had a premiere of its first ever short film. entitled "Have you ever dated a guy before?" we are pleased with the final product and will be adding it to the webernet very soon.

As you may or may not know, the empire recently created a visual accompaniment to the song "Excellent Steel Horse" by Toronto band Rock Plaza Central. That video has now been released online by spin.com! wonderful news for the empire and a great starting point for a great video. you can find the article here.
For those of you who are wondering if we are even a shirt company still... keep in mind that we have short attention spans and the sport of chinlone has landed in our hearts. The boys in DD/M/YYYY stopped by the empire after a summer tour, with DVDs full of what went down. they planned out something spectacular, and Mike was able to create that with the hours of footage Kyle transfered from the DVD's. here are his efforts.

today is a good day, so far very exciting... last night was Dinosaur Bones, and it was a fantastic night!!! so much positive energy arising from multiple people and boy does it make you enjoy youtrself. We filmed the show, and pictures were taken! by the one and only asen3000 and his partner in crime!
so much of that will be dealt with tonight, and shown to you immediately!!!
so its an exciting day, but the outside sure counters that, FIERCELY!!!! i mean, if you're in the Toronto area, right now, then you're looking at a shit fit, its gnarly and gross and wet and your feet just feel like you know your getting a sickness.
but there is much work to do yet, so i will stay highburnated for now.
Dallas has been in Windsor for about 2 weeks, but he is coming back to the big smoke tonight!!! which is good!! Mikey has a broken foot, we wish him a quick and powerful recovery, luckily it is snowing now, so the injury is a tad more tolerable, but still terrible.
Mike Plantus, finally we have some footage of Mike Plantus... its hard to get footy of Mikey, because he just likes to skate, straight up... he also completely rips shit apart, so when you can get a camera on him... the munts come out!

If you are on Facebook, and Richard Tandor's friend, then you may or may not know about the h.e. Launch Party we are having on the 13th of October. it will be at our house, 276 Crawford. Come if you're in the area!! it should be grand, and shirts will be available.
So when I was in Windsor, for a weekend... It wasn't because I'm crazy, sure, one could argue that very successfully. Why would one go to Windsor anyways, I mean, its your hometown Kyle, yes. But still!! this place is desolate to say the least. The funny thing about Windsor is that, on occasion, without warning... something great will happen. At times like these the orgiastic state of consumerism and manufacturing begin to erode before your very eyes, and the beautiful under-lying fabric that we, as skateboarders, created. Becomes the truth, the end, the only reason. We remember why we started skating in the first place. Because we needed a way out of Windsor. Be it physically or mentally, no matter where we are, even while in Windsor, If we get on that board... we can seperate ourselves from the beast of the "Motor-City's" retarded Canadian Cousin... The "City of Roses."

to further more touch on what this actual site is for... T SHIRTS!!! last night after I spent some hours with the lovely Sarah Castle, and after recieving two new games for the fancy white box attached to my television that emits light, and reacts to my fingers gestures on a wire-free control pad... stimulating my happiness nodes in my body controller (brain). MJ turned to me and said "Kyle, T shirts... we gotta" I say "ye, we do" so.... we will, whats different from any other time I said that we would? Mike and I now live together, so, hope to see you in a h.e. shirt soon!
As you may know(if you check this site), there was a problem with the current message. But I fixed it today, and I have news about the very first h.e. video! We will be shooting most likely in september, or possibly october, but it will feature all of the skateboarders, and hopefully many friends. If you buy a shirt after the video is done, you will get a copy of the video... free!!!
