The Empire has a couple of brand new music videos, that will be coming your way very soon... you may already be aware of these if you check the blog. A DD/MM/YYYY video, and one for Bellewoods.

There is a good chance you are going to see the Bellewoods one first... and the DD/MM/YYYY one a bit later as someone may collab on it.

More Shirts on the Way!!!

On my way home through what is definitly going to be the worst part of the city during this garbage garbage strike (chinatown, and yes, i meant to put garbage twice). I decided to stop by our supplier and see what he had for us.

I walked away with 30 shirts, with some tank tops mixed inside there. Shirt making will commence immediately, stay tuned for some new designs, I hope they come out nice.

Until then, please let us know any ideas if you think of anything. Just stop me in the street and be like "Make this..." 9 times out of 9 Ill make it for you.

records you should buy: Mama, I'm Swollen

Cursive is a band, that the empire loves, for every record they have put out, we have enjoyed thoroughly, and more often than not, more-so than the last. While this outfit from Omaha has been around for a long time, they have never really been larger than the small indie scene it feeds life into. This may be detremental to them, but for some reason I wouldn't have it any other way. I have only heard the two songs which are available for stream off the saddle-creek site, and I liked them very much, not a huge step away from cursive sounds, and its almost as if they went back to their roots with this one, and left Happy Hollow to waft in the direction they could have went, but I am glad they did not persue.

All I can say about this one, is that I am excited to hold the Vinul LP in my hands, but am sad that I have to wait until May for that.

h.e. made it to the new year

so its a new year, yay... christmas was rad... its always good to have a small time frame where your everyday life becomes bashed to oblivian and you force yourself into seemingly awkward places, and times, to learn that it is one of the best times of the year. You meet up with old, lost, friends, and relatives.

We missed the december shirt run, so we hope to make it up to you in some way.
